Octavium sits on the eighth floor of One Chinachem Central on Des Voeux Road and comes from the Umberto Bombana stable, sharing the same belief in top-quality produce cooked simply. It holds two stars in the 2026 Michelin Guide Hong Kong, and the kitchen is now led by Sicilian chef Giuseppe "Peppe" De Vuono, whose roots show in a menu with a strong lean towards seafood and pasta.
The best way in is the seasonal six- or eight-course tasting menu. House-made pasta is the highlight: the Carabinero red prawn linguine is the dish most guests come for, alongside spaghetto quadrato with a Sicilian-style squid ragù and Sicilian red prawn tartare with caviar. Expect a deep Italian wine list and polished, attentive service.
The dining room is understated and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows and Italian-designed furniture. It suits business lunches and special occasions. Book well ahead and check current lunch and dinner sessions when reserving.
