Osteria Luna

Osteria Luna is a bright, open-sided osteria on Jalan Pantai Padang-Padang from Pulau Projects, the group behind Yuki in Uluwatu. The menu leans towards coastal Italian cooking with a few local touches, such as Javanese milk ricotta and Sumba honey. The room is relaxed at lunch and candlelit at dinner.

Start with focaccia, Hokkaido scallops with nduja butter or the Jimbaran fritto misto. Among the pastas, the lobster squid-ink spaghetti, orecchiette with vongole, nori butter and bottarga, and pappardelle with beef ragù are the ones to order. The pizzette use a 48-hour dough, and the octopus or grilled prawns work as mains. A chef's selection menu is available, with optional wine pairing.
