Pizzeria Italia was set up by three Italian friends who wanted to pair Bukit surf life with straightforward Italian cooking. The Labuansait branch is a bright, open-kitchen space on the main road through Pecatu, and it keeps unusually late hours for the area.
Pizzas are thin and crisp from the wood-fired oven: try the Queen with Parma ham, rocket and a whole burrata, the burrata e rucola, or salsiccia e gorgonzola. On the pasta side there is homemade tagliolini cacio e pepe, potato gnocchi with four cheeses, and pappardelle with pesto and burrata. Arancini siciliani and Nonna's meatballs make good starters, and tiramisu closes things out.
Prices are fair for Uluwatu, which makes it a good fit for families and groups after a surf, and for anyone hungry late. It is open daily from 11am to 2am. A second branch sits at Jl. Raya Uluwatu No.200 in Ungasan, with an upstairs space for private events.
