Mike Pizza

Mike Pizza is the Kemang trattoria of Michele Cuozzo, a pizzaiolo from Sala Consilina near Salerno who worked across Asia for two decades before settling in Jakarta in 2014. The dining room is decked out with Italian football scarves, chalkboards and old posters, and the pizza comes from a traditional wood-fired oven.

Pizzas are Neapolitan in style with a chewy, blistered crust: start with a margherita or marinara, or try the calzone Vesuvio. From the pasta list, the carbonara special finished in a parmesan wheel is the most ordered dish, and the bucatini all'amatriciana and penne con salsiccia are worth a look. Parma ham platters, burrata and an Iberian ham risotto are also on the menu, alongside Aperol spritz and negroni.

Prices are low for this standard, making it a good choice for casual dinners with friends or family. Payment is cashless only and bills are not split. Bookings and delivery are taken on WhatsApp. It is closed on Mondays, and a second branch operates in Bandung.
