ORO Italian Restaurant

ORO sits at the top of Jalan Kemang Raya at Grandkemang Hotel and spreads over two floors: a non-smoking dining room and bar, a private VIP room and a smoking room with billiards on the ground floor, with a shisha terrace outside and a rooftop lounge upstairs for sunset drinks. The name is Italian for gold, chosen by owner Nicola.

The homemade pasta page is the place to start. Order the tagliatelle verdi with house-made pork sausage and mushrooms, the ravioli of ricotta and pecorino with stracciatella, or the black-ink tagliolini with lime prawns and pea sauce. Pizzas run from margherita to a Parma ham and rocket topping, and ossobuco alla Milanese and roast salmon cover the mains. Gluten-free pizza bases are available.

ORO suits groups, birthdays and late dinners, since the kitchen takes last orders around 12.30am (1.30am at weekends) and private events can seat more than 100. Pork is on the menu, so check with staff if that matters to your group. Book through Chope or WhatsApp.
