Club Italiano opened at Grand Hyatt Jakarta in December 2025, taking the hotel's Italian dining in a more social direction. The room is bold and colourful, built around the idea of la dolce vita, and combines a restaurant, a cocktail bar and a lounge with Italian wine cellars and three private dining rooms. The kitchen is led by Executive Sous Chef Ivan Vasilev, a graduate of the Angelo Vegni Institute in Tuscany.
The menu mixes classics with more modern plates. Look for lobster risotto (risotto all'astice), Mediterranean-style sea bass, rigatoni carbonara with pecorino romano, ricotta ravioli and squid-ink linguine with clams, finished with tiramisu. Dishes are labelled for pork, alcohol and other allergens. A three-course business lunch costs Rp650,000++ and the Saturday brunch starts at Rp888,000++ with free-flow drinks.
The bar stays open late, with a Negroni and Vespa Martini among the signature drinks and DJs on Friday and Saturday evenings, so it suits an aperitivo before dinner as much as a full meal. Smart casual dress; book through TableCheck, Chope or the hotel.
