Regina has been one of Gili Trawangan's best-known pizza stops for more than a decade. It is Italian-run, and the pizzas come out of a large wood-fired dome oven at the back of a leafy garden dining area on Jalan Ikan Hiu, a short walk inland from the main strip.
The menu is a long list of classic pizzas, from margherita and diavola to quattro formaggi and seafood, plus a handful of pastas and salads. Portions are generous and prices modest for the island, which keeps it busy most evenings. Note that pineapple is not on offer.
It opens for dinner only, from 5pm, and it is a relaxed, no-frills choice for groups and families. Expect a queue at peak times; delivery is also available on the island.
