Nero Nero

Nero Nero is a Cinnamon Group bistro on level three of DC Mall in Damansara City, Damansara Heights. The menu draws on Puglia in Italy's heel, with produce imported from Italy and recipes given a lighter, modern touch. There is a sister restaurant in Penang.

Start with panzerotti pugliesi (fried mini calzone), burrata from Sorrento or a fritto of local calamari and tiger prawns. Handmade pastas include orecchiette with lamb sausage and broccoli, pappardelle with truffle mushroom sauce and cuttlefish-ink fettuccine with prawn bisque, mostly between RM58 and RM75. Pizzas run from a classic margherita to the popular pizza al tartufo. The menu uses lamb, beef and turkey rather than pork, but there is an Italian wine list and the restaurant does not state a halal or pork-free policy.

The room has a long marble bar, chequered floors, copper lamps and arched windows, and dishes are designed to be shared. It suits a weekday business lunch or an easy dinner with friends.
