Strato is on the 23rd floor of The Troika, part of the Troika Sky Dining group, and it feels more relaxed than its neighbours. The dining room looks out over the KLCC skyline, and the bar opens an hour before the kitchen, so it is easy to start with an aperitivo.
The kitchen makes its pasta and pizzas by hand and cooks dishes from different Italian regions, with set menus that move around the country, such as Sicily and Lombardy. Try the wagyu beef cheek tortellini, the bigoli carbonara made with duck bacon, or a pizza topped with house-made sausage, and finish with the hazelnut tiramisu.
Because the menu is pork-free, it works well for mixed groups. It also suits a date night or a celebration when you want views without fine-dining prices.
