Garibaldi opened on Purvis Street in March 2003 and is one of Singapore's longest-running Italian dining rooms. It was founded by Brescia-born executive chef Roberto Galetti, with Chong Wan Khang running the kitchen day to day. The room is formal but comfortable, with white tablecloths, a bar and a glass-fronted wine cellar.
The cold angel hair with caviar, served with oysters, snow crab or Hokkaido scallops and sea urchin, is the house signature. The menu also covers the classics: homemade fettuccine with tomato and basil, linguine with Boston lobster, Ossobuco Garibaldi with saffron risotto, a breaded veal costoletta alla Milanese, and Tiramisù di Mamma Bice for dessert.
Set lunches from S$48 and a S$118 dinner menu make it a sensible choice for business meals, while weekend brunches focus on a different Italian region each month. It is open daily for lunch and dinner. Reservations are taken by phone, WhatsApp, email or Chope, and private dining rooms are available.
