Burrata Joy and Gustavo Lapasta started during the pandemic as delivery brands from the kitchen of Garibaldi, the Purvis Street restaurant, before combining in a sit-down space at Katong V mall in January 2022. The setting is casual and bright, aimed squarely at families and friends in the neighbourhood.
The burrata bowls are the core of the menu: the Parma with ham and roasted onion, the Palermo with prawns and tuna, or the vegetarian Roma pasta salad, each topped with 120g of burrata. On the pasta side, you choose a shape and a sauce, with crab meat in pink sauce, beef bolognese and truffle mushroom cream among the most popular. Pizzas joined in 2024 and can also be topped with burrata.
It is good for an easy family meal or weekday lunch, open daily with a mid-afternoon break. Most pastas cost S$23-33. A second outlet opened in November 2024 at Crown Centre, 557 Bukit Timah Road.
