Fico brings a breezy slice of southern Italy to East Coast Park, with chef-partner Mirko Febbrile (of Braci and pasta pop-up fame) and the Lo & Behold Group behind it. The menu draws on the Puglian countryside and coast, with plenty of seafood and vegetables, and the restaurant holds a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide Singapore.
Share a seafood platter and a few antipasti such as charred peppers with Cantabrian anchovies, then move on to the handmade pastas, including a punchy cacio e pepe and orecchiette. The focaccina, somewhere between focaccia and pizza, is a must, and groups can go large with the bone-in beef costata.
The beachside terrace is the draw, so come for a weekend lunch or sunset dinner with friends or family. Parking at Carpark F2 is free.
