About
La Bettola opened on Joo Chiat Road in 2025. It takes its name from the Italian word for a humble tavern, and it is a casual, family-friendly neighbourhood spot rather than a destination dining room. Pets are welcome, and the menu sticks to two things: pizzas and grilled meat.
Start with burrata and Parma ham or the Saute Misto of mussels and clams with sourdough. Homemade pastas include ravioli filled with burrata, gnocchi alla Sorrentina, beef ragu lasagna and fettuccine with Italian sausage and truffle cream. On the pizza list, try the Bettola with house pork sausage, broccoletti and smoked scamorza, or the Mortadella with burrata and pistachio. For a group, the 1-1.2kg Fiorentina porterhouse is the centrepiece.
It suits families and casual weeknight dinners. The restaurant opens for dinner daily and adds lunch from Thursday to Sunday. Prices are listed without GST, with a 10% service charge added. Book through Chope.
