La Nonna has been on Lorong Mambong since 2006, with a name and menu built around Italian grandmother cooking. The dining room has dark wood, vintage posters and shelves of old lamps and wine bottles, with a traditional bronze oven at its centre. The menu changes with the Italian seasons each quarter.
Start with burrata and Parma ham or the mozzarella wrapped in Parma ham, then try the homemade pappardelle with oxtail ragù, taglierini with black truffle cream or potato gnocchi alla sorrentina. The house La Nonna pizza with asparagus, egg and truffle is the signature, and the oven-baked porchetta and lamb rack are reliable mains. Finish with tiramisu or the lemon tart.
A good pick for dates or small celebrations in Holland Village. There is a weekday set lunch, happy hour from 5:30pm to 8pm daily with prosecco deals, and all-day service at weekends.
