Chicco Trattoria is the renamed Chicco Pasta Bar at 208 Telok Ayer Street, opened in late 2023 by the group behind Cenzo. The pasta is still made by hand each day, but the menu has grown into a broader trattoria offer, with antipasti, roasts and grills meant for sharing, served in a small, casual room with an open kitchen.
Order the rigatoni carbonara, the paccheri with beef cheek and bone marrow, or the mafaldine with spanner crab, soft-shell crab and bisque; the pork and pesto lasagna with mortadella is a good alternative. To start, try the grilled calamari skewers with n'duja butter or burrata with hot honey. Larger mains include porchetta and ossobuco with saffron risotto, and the tiramisu is made with pistachio.
It is a dependable choice for a CBD lunch: the weekday set (S$28) includes a starter, pasta or main and a drink. It is open all day on Saturday and Sunday, which suits a relaxed weekend meal with friends.
