About

Pasta Brava has served Italian food in Singapore since 1991, starting on Craig Road. In July 2024 it moved into a three-storey heritage shophouse at 81 Tras Street, near Tanjong Pagar MRT. The ground floor is warm and terracotta-toned, the second floor has a private room and a bar built from an antique Chinese medicine cabinet, and there is a rooftop garden above. Art by the owner and other painters hangs on the walls, and some of it is for sale.

The menu covers dishes from across Italy. Regulars order the squid-ink seafood spaghetti, lobster bisque, grilled octopus with potato mash, stracci with saffron cream, prawns and scallops, and spaghetti with half a lobster. Duck ragù risotto and beef lasagna are good heavier options.

It is a dependable choice for family meals, birthdays and company dinners, and the upper floor can be booked for private events. Low-carb konjac rice is offered for risottos. It opens from 11am daily.
