Cannubi brings the philosophy of Umberto Bombana, the Hong Kong-based chef famed for his white truffle menus, to the rebuilt Dusit Thani on Rama IV Road. The kitchen is run day to day by executive Italian chef Andrea Susto, who cooks classical Italian dishes with a precise, modern touch and a keen eye for top-quality imported produce.

The dining room is all warm lighting and plush banquettes, with views over a cascading waterfall, and the wine programme is a big part of the appeal: more than 350 labels, with plenty of Piedmont and Tuscany, overseen by a knowledgeable sommelier team. Choose between a good-value set lunch, the full tasting menu or à la carte, and keep an eye out for truffle season.

This is the place for a milestone dinner, a serious wine-led evening or an impressive client lunch. It became the first Italian restaurant in Thailand to earn a Michelin star, so book ahead.
