Founded in 2017 by chef Francesco Deiana, La Dotta is built around one thing: fresh pasta made the traditional way. At the Convent Road home in Silom you can sit at the counter and watch the team rolling, cutting and shaping dough, then eat the results minutes later in a bright blue-and-white room.

The menu tours Italy's regions through its pasta. The saffron gnocchetti with lamb ragù and pecorino is a standout, and there are always comforting classics alongside seasonal specials. Prices are friendly for food of this quality, and it is recommended in the Michelin Guide.

It works for a casual lunch, an easy-going date or a group of pasta lovers. Weekend pasta classes are a fun add-on, and there is a sister branch in Thonglor.
