Chef Francesco Lenzi comes from four generations of Tuscan cooks, and his restaurant tucked down Soi Ruam Ruedi feels like an extension of the family table. Cured meats, cheeses and even his mother's limoncello come from the Lenzi farm near Lucca, giving the cooking a properly rustic, rooted character.
Start with the tagliere of salumi and cheese, then go for the pappardelle with wild boar ragù or one of the other handmade pastas. Big steaks and fresh seafood round out the menu, backed by a thoughtful Italian wine list. It has been recommended in the Michelin Guide for several years running.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, which makes it a good choice for families and groups as well as a weekday lunch near Ploenchit. Reservations are recommended for dinner.
