Locanda del Pescatore sits right on the sand at Rawai Beach in Phuket's quiet south, with a terrace looking out over the moored longtail boats and an indoor dining room set back from the beach. It is a family-run place, and as the name suggests, fish is the focus.
The kitchen makes fresh pasta in-house: tagliatelle with crab or king prawns, and gnocchi including a blue cheese, spinach and walnut version. Pizzas come from a wood-fired oven, from a Prosciutto Crudo with 24-month Parma ham to a mixed-seafood Pescatora. Local catch appears as white snapper all'acqua pazza, Sicilian-style sea bass and octopus alla Luciana, with saltimbocca and ossobuco for meat eaters.
Pizzas run about 350–550 baht and fresh pasta 430–530 baht, so a two-course dinner is good value for a beachfront table. It opens daily from noon to 10pm, which makes it an easy choice for a long seafood lunch or a sunset dinner after Promthep Cape.
