Cantina Classe Canggu

Cantina Classe is run by Wonderspace, the Bali group behind several Canggu and Ubud venues, and its dining room is built to look like the inside of a brick pizza oven: arched brick walls, a terracotta ceiling, old chandeliers and wooden tables. It opened on Jalan Padang Linjong in 2023 and keeps long hours, from breakfast through to midnight.

The kitchen makes its pasta fresh each day and stretches its pizza dough by hand. The fettuccine truffle carbonara is the dish most people come for, and there is a version topped with a 200g rib-eye. The rigatoni with meatballs, a two-sheet lasagna verde with beef brisket bolognese, prosciutto pizza and the honey four-cheese pizza are also good orders, with prosciutto arancini to start and tiramisu to finish.

It suits couples and small groups who want a proper sit-down Italian meal in central Canggu without a large bill. Bookings are taken by WhatsApp, and there is a birthday offer for tables of four or more. Wonderspace also runs a second Cantina Classe in Ubud.
