Riviera Trattoria is the Pererenan outpost of the Riviera group, led by chef Emilio Bean. The two-storey building has green velvet banquettes, arched windows and warm wood, with outdoor tables and a private dining room upstairs. It opens mid-afternoon, and aperitivo runs through the evening at the bar.
Pasta is rolled by hand, and the spinach and ricotta ravioli is the house signature. The wood-fired prawns in garlic butter, fried calamari, zucchini flowers with lemon ricotta and a plate of Parma ham, capocollo and mortadella make good starters, with bread from the wood oven. There are eight Neapolitan-style pizzas, a rib-eye for meat eaters and tiramisu to finish.
It suits groups, celebrations and a cocktail before dinner, with two-for-one cocktails on Friday and Saturday evenings and an Italian roast on Sundays. Book through SevenRooms or WhatsApp. The group also runs Riviera Bistro in Berawa and Riviera Cafe in Cemagi.
