Prego is the Italian restaurant at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua. Italian chef Michele Antonucci leads a menu built on Southern Italian cooking. You can sit in the air-conditioned dining room by the open kitchen or out on the garden terrace, where the kitchen grows some of its own herbs and tomatoes.
The pasta is the main draw. Try the gnocchi alla sorrentina, cavatelli with a seafood ragù, tagliatelle flavoured with coffee and served with lamb ragù, or the lobster risotto. The mama-style meatballs are a signature dish. Pizzas include a Calabrese with house-made spicy pork sausage and a prosciutto and burrata, and there are cured-meat and cheese boards for sharing. Tiramisu is the best-selling dessert.
Prego works well for families, with a children's menu, high chairs and a playground nearby. On the last Sunday of every month there is a themed Italian brunch from Rp690,000++ per adult. It is open daily for lunch from 12pm to 3pm and dinner from 5pm to 10pm, and the dress code is smart casual. Book through SevenRooms or WhatsApp.
