La Baracca was started on Jalan Petitenget in the mid-2010s by a group of Italian childhood friends, and the Seminyak original is still the flagship. The look is deliberately rough and homely, built from reclaimed wood, recycled metal and second-hand furniture, and the tone is casual: the kind of place where staff send out a limoncello at the end of the meal.
Pizza and pasta are the core. Regulars point to the spaghetti carbonara, the burrata pizza and a burrata with prosciuttella, along with a prosciutto pizza and homemade tiramisu. There is also a beef fillet with parmesan sauce for something heavier. Vegan and gluten-free diners are well catered for, with a separate plant-based selection.
Prices are among the most reasonable for a sit-down Italian in Seminyak, and a daily lunch deal on salads and panini runs from noon to 4pm. Hours are long, from 11.30am until late. Booking is online or by WhatsApp, and delivery is available. The group also has branches in Canggu, Uluwatu and Ubud, plus newer openings in Seseh and Lombok.
