Otello's

Otello's opened in Umalas in 2025 as a self-styled neighbourhood Italian and wine bar. The room has exposed brick, warm wall lamps and booth seating. The menu is short and traditional, and the evening starts with Negronis, Spritzes and Americanos.

All the pasta is made fresh in-house. Good choices are the gnocchi al pesto Genovese, tagliatelle al ragù, spaghetti alle vongole and spaghetti with nonna's meatballs, and you can ask for any shape with any sauce. Before that, share vitello tonnato, carpaccio di manzo or a board of Italian cold cuts and cheeses. For a main, go for cotoletta alla milanese or red-wine-braised beef cheeks.

It suits couples and small groups who live or stay around Umalas and Kerobokan and want everyday Italian rather than a big night out. Prices are moderate, and the wine list mixes Italian and local bottles. It's open daily from 11.30am until late. Book by phone or WhatsApp.
