Casa Cuomo brings the name of Salvatore Cuomo, one of the pioneers of Neapolitan pizza in Asia, to a grand house on Jalan Gunawarman. The interior takes its cue from an opera house, all drama and plush detail, yet the service aims for the warmth of a family home. It has been ranked among the 50 Top Italy list of the best Italian restaurants abroad.
The menu covers a lot of ground. Start with burrata or wagyu carpaccio, then choose between linguine with clams, seafood risotto and a properly blistered margherita, or go large with porchetta or a wagyu tomahawk to share. Finish with tiramisu or panna cotta.
It works well for celebrations, impressing out-of-town guests and business lunches, and a good-value set lunch runs on weekdays.
