Nonna Bona is the Italian steakhouse from the team behind Oma Elly, the long-running Jakarta Italian name, and it is run by owner Sabrina Sutjiawan. It opened at ASHTA District 8 in 2022 and is split into three areas: an open-kitchen dining room for families, a bar lounge for cocktails, and a more formal section for business meals and events.

The beef is the main event. There are dry-aged striploin, rib-eye, tomahawk and bistecca alla Fiorentina, priced by weight and finished with a porcini-based rub. Pasta is made in-house. Try the spaghetti alle vongole, carbonara, or risotto Milanese with braised ossobuco. Pizzas include a cacio e pepe with truffle. Eggplant parmigiana makes a good side. The tiramisu follows Oma Elly's recipe, and there are around 14 flavours of gelato.

Nonna Bona suits family lunches, birthdays and client dinners. It has also run cooking classes for children. It is open from 10am to 10pm daily. Chope bookings have a two-hour table limit, and tables of six or more need a deposit. The bar also serves a menu of Negroni variations.
