Buona Terra sits in a colonial-era bungalow just off Orchard, and the intimate dining room feels more like a stylish private house than a formal restaurant. Chef Denis Lucchi, who hails from the Lake Garda area of Lombardy, has led the kitchen since 2012 and has held a Michelin star here since 2019.
Dining is by set menu only: four or five courses at weekday lunch and a six-course dinner that moves from seafood and vegetables to meat before a restrained dessert. Expect clean, ingredient-led plates with playful touches, such as rich risotti and binchotan-grilled meats, plus a well-chosen wine flight or full pairing.
Allow around two and a half hours for dinner. It suits anniversaries, special occasions and anyone keen to see how refined modern Italian cooking can be in Singapore.
Hours and prices change, so please confirm with the restaurant before you go.
