LINO is the casual Italian concept from the Les Amis Group, named after the linen used to cover pizza dough while it rises. The Forum outlet occupies a corner of the ground floor at Forum The Shopping Mall on Orchard Road, with a bright dining room and a bar that pours wine, spritzes and cocktails.
Pizza is the main draw: the dough is proofed for 48 hours and baked in a wood-burning oven. The burrata pizza with slow-roasted cherry tomatoes and the pancetta pizza are the best sellers. Among the pastas, try the truffle cream chitarra or the beef short rib fettuccine; braised lamb shank and pollo al mattone are the heartier mains.
Works for a family lunch after shopping, a relaxed date or a group dinner, at around S$35 a head. Book via Chope or WhatsApp. Open daily for lunch (11.30am-3pm) and dinner (5.30pm-10pm). A second LINO, with al fresco seating, is at 7 Binjai Park in Bukit Timah.
