Kuningan is Jakarta's embassy and office district, and its Italian restaurants are built around business lunches, skyline views and easy weeknight dinners. The area runs from the Mega Kuningan towers along Jalan Gatot Subroto to Kota Kasablanka in Tebet.
Alto, on the 20th floor of Four Seasons Jakarta, has a skyline terrace, golden-hour aperitivo and one of the city's best-known Sunday brunches. Nine Table at One Satrio is chef Roberto Fiorini's Italian-Mediterranean room, with a long wine list and late weekend hours. For something more casual, MASSILIA on Gatot Subroto bakes award-winning wood-fired pizza with a pork-free, alcohol-free menu, and Oma Elly Trattoria at Kota Kasablanka serves family-recipe lasagne and tiramisu.
Weekday lunches are busy with office crowds, so book ahead between noon and 2pm. Evenings are quieter, and the hotel terraces are best around sunset.
